At 9 years old, Pastor Jia gave her life to the Lord Jesus Christ. She rededicated her life back to the Lord Jesus Christ at the age of 26. Since then, she has committed herself to experiencing the grace, mercy, restoration, and love of God in every aspect of her life. Pastor Jia has completed her ministerial training under the leadership and teaching of Dr. Karen and Linwood Bethea at Set the Captives Free Outreach Center. A devoted ambassador of Christ, she has served in other ministries such as Hospitality Ministry, Committee on Marriage and Family Ministry, Prayer Facilitator, Discipleship Ministry and Director of the Women’s Ministry (Daughters of Prophetic Destiny) for 16-years at Set the Captives Free Outreach Center.

In 2007, she completed her certification in the Leaders in the Training Experience Course at Set the Captives Free Outreach Center™, where she has served as a faithful servant and member for 19-years. In April 2013, she was ordained as a Deaconess, and on December 31, 2015, she was ordained as a licensed minister, and now she and her husband are Pastors in the Pastoral Alliance under Pastors Karen and & Linwood Bethea. She is the co-founder of “Conversations with the Conway’s”, a Marriage Ministry founded with her husband, Troy.

Pastor Jia is a student of the word, loves the word of God and believes in education empowerment. She completed her formal education, Bachelors and Master of Nursing, from Coppin State University in Baltimore, MD; her doctoral preparation was completed at Chatham University in Pittsburgh, and her Masters of Theology with an emphasis on Women’s Studies at Liberty University, and coaching training and certification from Light University. Her call to serve women is one of passion, compassion, love, and desire for women to excel and survive beyond adversity. She thrives on Women’s Empowerment and a wholistic approach to survival- mind, body and soul.  She is the CEO & Founder of “A Touch from Heav’n Wellness Spa and Salon” and “Changed from the Inside Out Ministries, LLC”  where she dedicates her time and skills to coaching, educating, and empowering women towards unlocking their purpose and purpose execution in addition to taking care of their temple holistically. As an Oncology provider she has a passion and heart for Breast Cancer women, but she nurtures all of her patients.

“Changed from the Inside Out,” evolved out of a life that was consumed and only knew the pain of past abuse and loss, to a life of a woman that gave God a chance at restoration and wholeness, despite her own brokenness.  She has served on many platforms as a speaker, workshop presenter and preacher. She has been nominated as a Worldwide Leader in Healthcare, Honored as a Woman of Outstanding Excellence and Dedication to her profession and Achievement of Women by the National Association of Professional Women. She has also been featured in Vision and Purpose Magazine and MizCeo Magazine and been the recipient of the 2019 Deborah C. Offer Bulgin Women of Virtue Walking Excellence Honoree in Ministry. She currently serves as a leader and contributing writer of the “Voice” in Global Women’s ministry organization Women World Leaders.

Pastor Jia currently resides in York, Pennsylvania with her husband and children. Her life’s mantra is “Purpose to Change and Change on Purpose!” She is committed to a life that is not just consumed by her own personal success, but one that breeds impact and significance in the lives of others and the community at large.

He received his education in Baltimore, Maryland in which he graduated from Forest Park High School. He attended Morgan State University. At the age of 23, he received Christ as his Savior at the New Psalmist Church in Baltimore, Maryland under the pastorate of Bishop Walter S. Thomas. He then began to seek the Lord for wisdom and guidance. In 2002, Pastor Troy and his family became members of Set the Captives Free Outreach Center under the Pastorate of Dr. Karen and Linwood Bethea. He served in various ministries throughout his 19 years there to include, The Word in Rap Christian Rap Ministry, Children’s Church, Committee on Marriage & Family, Share, and Eagles Security. 

Since the age of 5, he has has had a love for music. He first began as a DJ at the early age of 12 when he was requested to DJ a 50th Anniversary Gala. At the age of 17, he become known as “DJ Vex” for his “Mad Man on the Turntables” skills and work ethic. He competed in multiple DJ contest and won first place in the “Battle of the DJ’s” contest for his creativity and skill set. He was a DJ and producer for an up-and-coming Baltimore rap group but decided to focus his God given talent on building the kingdom of God. Later, he released several Christian rap songs. His song titled, “Fight” charted high on Amazon and reached the top 25 downloads in the Christian Music genre during its first week debut.

He and Dr. Jia have four beautiful children: Jazmin, Shyniece, Troy Jr., and Jaila. He has a grandson Kaden who loving refers to him as “Poppa”. As of Jun 22, 2021, they have been married for 25 years and are the founders of “ Conversations with the Conway’s,” Marriage Ministry.
